Eating clean means eating healthy, whole and unprocessed food that is free of any artificial ingredients, which can help in weight loss.

Choose whole, Natural foods instead of processed foods

To lose weight, it is better to avoid consuming processed foods that come in boxes, bags, or packets. Instead, choose fresh and whole foods. 

Avoiding highly processed meals such as fast food, potato chips, and sugary drinks will help you lose weight by reducing your calorie, sugar, salt, and unhealthy fat intake.

Eat more Veggies and Fruits

Veggies and fruit are the best foods to help in weight loss as they are packed with all the nutrients that are needed by your body. Vegetables are high in fiber, which can help in improving your gut health and can help you feel fuller and satisfied longer. 

The Malaysian Dietary Guidelines recommend at least two servings of fruits and three servings of vegetables every day.


Eat five to six small meals throughout the day

It involves three main meals and two or three healthy snacks in between. This way of eating can help you avoid overeating and skipping meals. It also helps in the control of blood sugar levels.


Limit intake of sugar, salt and unhealthy fats

Sugar, salt, and fat are all naturally low in clean foods. So, if you avoid processed foods, you’ve already reduced your intake of excess calories and sugar, salt, and fats. However, you still need to read the food label carefully.

Get active

Regular exercise is essential for weight loss since it helps in the burning of calories, the strengthening of muscles, and the improvement of your metabolism.

Exercise can also help you maintain a healthy heart, lungs, and bones.
