Pilates and It's Health Benefits

What is Pilates?

Introduced in the 1920s by Joseph H. Pilates, Pilates is a type of low-impact exercise that is usually performed on a mat with other equipment to promote strength, stability, and flexibility of the body. Each session tends to last for 45 to 60 minutes with an emphasis on the core muscle group. Pilates advocates for core- strengthening exercise as a method to improve posture and stability of the body. The Core muscle groups cover the Glutes, Hips, pelvic floor, and lower back.
