Zumba was first introduced in 2001 and it integrates Latin music and dancing to cardio. Latin music such as salsa is used in a group exercise class and the upbeat music & choreographed steps will bring the sweat out of everyone who joined. There are several types of Zumba classes ranging from Aqua Zumba to Zumba Strong. Aqua Zumba is great is a low-impact exercise for people who are recovering. On the other hand, Zumba Strong is a body toning focus type of high-intensity bodyweight training that consists of Squats, Burpees, Lunges, and Pushups.
This beginner-friendly exercise is a very accessible form of exercise that can be followed through online classes or at a studio class near you. Here are a few benefits of Zumba if you choose to participate.
